TRU•MIC TECHNOLOGY
At the heart of the Anthem is a revolutionary microphone engineered to capture a dynamic studio-mic’d sound for any live performance. The TRU•MIC mounts to the underside of the bridge plate and hovers just 3 mm above its surface to take advantage of the PZM or “boundary” effect. This proprietary mounting system, combined with noise cancellation, frees the mic to perform as if it were outside of the guitar in a studio and maintain remarkable feedback suppression for the stage. The result is a balanced frequency response with excellent clarity for the purest sound you have ever heard amplified. We have paired the Element pickup with the TRU•MIC to provide solidity and punch for low frequencies.

For those of you who prefer a minimalist approach to controls, the Anthem SL delivers the same groundbreaking studio mic’d fidelity as the Anthem in a streamlined format with a single volume control. The endpin preamp has all-discrete circuitry for the purest signal and the TRU•MIC is premixed with the Element for optimum performance.

Unlike typical undersaddle acoustic guitar pickups that are dependent on string compression for their sound, the Element was engineered to mirror the soundboard’s actual movement as you play. At the heart of the pickup, a flexible film sensor only 2 thousandths of an inch thick picks up the guitar’s most delicate nuances. Tracking the motion of the top rather than a direct string attack suppresses “quack” caused by compression and unlocks the Element’s unrivaled dynamic range. The pickup’s minimalist construction lessens any influence on the acoustic properties and creates an intimate coupling between the pickup and guitar for the highest fidelity possible.

Bridge Plate Pickup with "Mic-like" Fidelity
MIPA Award
The iBeam’s MIPA award-winning design employs a matched pair of virtually weightless film sensors that flex with the soundboard to trace your guitar’s voice much like diaphragms in a stereo mic. A key advantage over typical bridge plate sensors is the iBeam’s “cardioid” like response pattern that inhibits feedback and string squeak while selectively admitting rich tone-producting vibrations. Weighing less than 1/3 of an ounce, the pickup will not alter the guitar’s natural acoustics and easily mounts to the bridge plate with peel-and-stick adhesive.

TRU•MIC TECHNOLOGY
Our featherweight microphone, each high-graded for ideal response, mounts to the underside of the bridge plate with simple peel-and-stick adhesive to preserve the integrity of your instrument. The microphone leverages the “pressure-zone” principle by positioning the capsule just 3mm from the surface of the top to hear the entire soundboard for even balance and tone. And the microphone’s proximity to the top allows high gain before feedback. Unlike other attempts to use an internal microphone, Lyric employs noise canceling technology that rejects “boxy” reflections inside of the acoustic chamber. This patent pending minor miracle enables the mic to act as if it were outside of the guitar delivering a clear and open performance.

CIRCUIT INNOVATIONS
In a studio, you would have to use an entire rack of gear to achieve what we have built into Lyric’s tiny circuit board. Our lead engineer, Tommy Linn, created several patent pending “black box” circuit innovations that unlock the potential of the microphone. The first tightens the lower frequencies for a punchier attack with natural dynamics. The second maintains the microphone’s sweetness no matter how hard you play. The third innovation, not patent pending but useful, is an adjustable “presence” control that dials high frequency response perfectly for your guitar. The M1 is for players who love big acoustic tone with high feedback resistance on any stage. Combining the natural characteristics of your guitar’s soundboard with a punchy string attack, the M1’s body-sensitive design provides enhanced realism while cutting through a loud mix.
Body-Sensitive Design
The M1 is a patented humbucking pickup with a twist. In a common stacked humbucker, the lower coil cancels hum, but doesn’t contribute anything positive to the sound. We unlock the lower coil with a carefully tuned support that allows it to capture higher frequency resonances. As the pickup moves with the guitar’s soundboard, a body signal is created in the suspended coil that adds presence and realism to your amplified sound.

The soul of your guitar is in the body - from the tone woods that it's made of, to the fine details in the way it was put together. Standard magnetic pickups hear only dry strings, resulting in an "electric" sound that omits the true acoustic voice of your guitar. In contrast, the M80 hears the entire frequency range of the tone woods, thereby contributing warmth and complexity to your amplified sound.

The secret of the M80 is a patented, free-floating humbucking coil that acts as a 3D body sensor. As the soundboard resonates in all 3 dimensions, a proprietary suspension allows each axis of the humbucking coil to respond with the guitar's movement. A resonate body signal is produced and blended with the strings to faithfully capture your guitar like no other magnetic pickup ever created.
The M80 also gives you the choice of active or passive settings with the flick of the switch. The active setting engages a preamp with built-in EQ and audiophile circuitry for that "high-fidelity" sound Baggs is known for. Switch to the passive setting and bypass the preamp for a battery free performance. Other features of the M80 include a battery check, volume control and adjustable pole pieces for perfect balance between the strings.

LB6 Acoustic Guitar Undersaddle PickupThis is the pickup that started it all for us. The LB6, with its great presence and warmth, continues to be the pickup of choice for professional musicians like James Taylor, Vince Gill and Phil Keaggy. Six individual vibration sensors are cast right into the pickup base and epoxy bonded to the micarta saddle to insure optimum sound transfer. And its built-in feedback canceling design makes it ideal for high-SPL performance situations.

The FIVE.O is small, light-weight, and best of all, specifically engineered to track the uke’s unmistakably unique voice. The system combines a custom version of our award winning Element pickup, a soundhole mounted volume control and a miniature endpin preamp powered by a 3V battery. We radically miniaturized our design so that the complete system weighs less than a 9V battery and tucks away neatly inside of the small instrument for a non-invasive installation. The pickup also features a pull guide to facilitate faster installations.
